Beer metropolis and former European Capital of Culture

When you think of Pilsen, you might think of beer first and yes: Pilsner Urquell is perhaps the best-known attraction, but the city has a lot more to offer. Pilsen was even named Capital of Culture in 2015 - the pretty facades and the well-kept park ring around the city center still make up part of the city's special flair today. Fresh Festival

A must for all foodies! On May 18 and 19, the Fresh Festival will take place in the area behind the Plaza shopping center. Techmania Science Center

There is plenty for young and old to marvel at at the Techmania Science Center. In the historic factory halls of the industrial area of the Škoda plant, you will not only find classic exhibits, but also interactive exhibits and the only 3D planetarium in the Czech Republic.

Mill Race

Pilsen's old town is surrounded by a ring of gardens, the highlight of which is the Mühlgraben. An artificial pond surrounded by greenery invites you to relax. Especially in the evening light, the atmosphere here is romantic - almost like Venice!

St. Bartholomew's Cathedral

The Pilsen cityscape is characterized by one in particular: the 102.26 m high church tower of St. Bartholomew's Cathedral. As the highest tower in the Czech Republic, it towers above the city and offers an impressive view to anyone who dares to climb the almost 300 steps. In good weather, you can not only see as far as the Bohemian Forest, but even the peaks of the Alps.

Great Synagogue

The Great Synagogue in Pilsen is Europe's second largest synagogue and the third largest in the world. The impressive building is now only used for cultural events. West Bohemian Museum

Dinopark
