Our nightlife tips for the Czech capital
Prague’s nightlife is dynamic, exciting and simply different, as the countless groups that travel to the city every year for their stag parties know. Aside from the beauty of the city itself, there is a very specific reason for this, of course: the unbeatable entrance and drink prices.
Half a litre of beer costs around 30-50 Kč (about €1.20-2) in some places. Prices like these are attracting young and old alike to the beer gardens, bars, pubs and clubs, inviting visitors to turn the night into the day.
With a huge range of entertainment on offer, there is something for everyone in this city. To help you get the most out of Prague’s
nightlife, we have picked out the hottest spots for you. So put on some music and start thinking about your party outfit. Off we go!
If you’re in Prague for the first time and want to spend your evenings out on the town, a pub crawl is a great way to make friends and find cool places to hang out. A pub crawl is an organised tour of pubs with a local guide, starting from a central meeting point. As part of a larger group, you will enjoy a fun night out, be taken to selected bars and clubs and always have someone to talk to if you have any questions. The Clock Tower Bar Crawl, for example, starts with a 2.5-hour pre-party to get to know each other.
An open bar will tempt you with beer, wine, vodka and more before you head off to two more bars and a popular nightclub. Not quite as “classic” but equally fun is the “Bohemian Alternative Bar Tour”. It takes you away from the crowded, mainstream venues in the city centre to alternative bars and clubs that are popular with locals. If you like art and curiosities, and want to learn more about Czech history while enjoying tasty beers and wines, this is the tour for you.
Prague is also a great place to go out on your own or with your tour group and spend the evening at your own pace. There is one address you will definitely not want to miss: Karlovy Lázně, the largest discotheque in Central Europe. The club is located in the immediate vicinity of the Charles Bridge and is spread over five floors. From oldies to dance music and hip-hop – you will hear everything that will get the party crowd up and dancing. The first and third floors clearly show that the building was originally built as a spa. To get to the dance floor, you have to take a flight of stairs into the former swimming pools. As for shows, each floor has something different to offer, including lights, fog machines and dancers.
The Radost FX Club and the Cross Club are also worth a visit. While the former features original DJs, a laser show, video projections and changing theme nights, the Cross Club is considered a kind of multicultural hub and the city’s most popular art bar. In a futuristic setting, people from all walks of life come together to enjoy an unconventional music programme.

On a 1.5 hour ride through the centre of Prague, you will discover the most famous sights and you can raise your glass with your fellow passengers right in front of them. As the beer bike tours are accompanied by a city guide, you can be sure that you will not only get the golden yellow cultural treasure in your hand, but also get to know the city in an exciting and informative way.
