Oh, beautiful Munich. Home to the world famous Oktoberfest, beer gardens, tradition and innovation. The Bavarian capital is rightly known as a village of millions. And, yes, one or two of the clichés associated with Munich are bound to be confirmed sooner or later. Either way, a visit is the best way to get a first-hand impression of the city and explore its many local highlights. Hop on the train and make your way to this charming Bavarian metropolis. Pleasure for all the senses
The Theresienwiese has much more to offer than just the Oktoberfest: until December 23, the square will be transformed into the Winter Tollwood, attracting visitors with art, culture and music. Enjoy delicious food and browse through the enchanting market stalls. There are at least two concerts a day in the Hexenkessel - and admission is free!
Café Frischhut
Café Frischhut at Viktualienmarkt has been around since 1973 - a true Munich original! Here you can enjoy the delicious lard noodles that have given this traditional eatery its nickname. The pulled-out pasta tastes just like grandma's and you can even watch how the delicious lard pastry is made.
Deutsches Museum
Not a boring museum at all: technology enthusiasts are in paradise here! The Deutsches Museum offers exhibitions, interactive demonstrations and exciting experiments in science and technology, taking a visit to the museum to a whole new level. After all, there's plenty for everyone to try out and test for themselves.
Bahnwärter Thiel
A colorful hodgepodge of Munich streetcar and subway cars, shipping containers and the like will become the “Bahnwärter Thiel” cultural project in Tumblingerstraße. There is space here for urban gardening, graffiti art, concerts, flea markets and much more. Whether club night or comedy show: there is something for everyone here!
