Our regular timetable shows the scheduled travel times without taking current construction work or special services into account. It is only valid as long as there are no construction-related changes. Please check for possible timetable deviations before you travel.

Over the summer and autumn of 2025, DB InfraGO carried out extensive renovation work on the railway line between Regensburg and Weiden. In several construction phases, tracks, switches, and level crossings were renewed to modernize the line for the future.

The Regensburg – Schwandorf section was upgraded from 15 June to 22 August, followed by work between Schwandorf and Weiden from 23 August to 10 October.

Almost all work has now been completed. The final measure at Regensburg main station, the renewal of the switches towards the Wallhallastraße operations yard, is still ongoing from 10 October until 30 October 2025. These works require an additional line closure between Regensburg and Regenstauf.

Tickets

All tickets remain valid on the replacement buses. Ticket sales on the buses are not available. Please purchase tickets in advance online via Deutsche Bahn or at the ticket machine in the station.

Bicycles and prams

The carriage of bicycles is only possible if sufficient space is available and cannot be guaranteed. Prams are carried in limited numbers.

Accessibility

We recommend that travelers using a wheelchair or stroller register in advance before their planned trip, as not every replacement bus is barrier-free. Your request will be reviewed by the customer service center and forwarded to the bus company. Please use the provided Online Form of the Mobility Center for this purpose.
