Track closure between Schwandorf and Weiden – Replacement by bus

Due to construction work by DB InfraGO AG, all trains on the Oberpfalzbahn RB 23 line and the alex RE 23 line, as well as all DB Regio trains on the RE 2 line between Regensburg and Weiden, will be cancelled between 23 August and 14 September 2025. Replacement bus services will be provided for the affected connections.

The buses are clearly recognisable by their colours and timetables:

Replacement bus that stops at all stops (marked green in the replacement timetable)

• replaces line RB 23

Express bus Regensburg - Schwandorf - Weiden (marked yellow in the replacement timetable)

• replaces the RE 2 line

Express bus Regensburg - Weiden (marked in red on the replacement timetable)

• replaces the RE 2 line

Tickets

All tickets remain valid on the replacement buses. Ticket sales on the buses are not available. Please purchase tickets in advance online via Deutsche Bahn or at the ticket machine in the station.

Bicycles and prams

The carriage of bicycles is only possible if sufficient space is available and cannot be guaranteed. Prams are carried in limited numbers.

Accessibility

We recommend that travelers using a wheelchair or stroller register in advance before their planned trip, as not every replacement bus is barrier-free. Your request will be reviewed by the customer service center and forwarded to the bus company. Please use the provided Online Form of the Mobility Center for this purpose.
