Baumaßnahmen führen zu Einschränkungen im Bahnverkehr der Linien RE 25 (alex) und RB 27 (oberpfalzbahn)

From 15 October 2026, construction work will take place on the Schwandorf–Cham and Furth im Wald–Domažlice sections of the railway line. Both sections will remain closed to rail traffic until Thursday, 19 November, and into the early hours of Friday, 20 November 2026, until 1:05 a.m. The closure affects the Bavarian regional rail services RE 25 (alex) and RB 27 (oberpfalzbahn). Replacement bus services will be provided.

alex RE 25 (Munich – Schwandorf – Furth im Wald – Pilsen – Prague)
Replacement bus services will operate between Schwandorf and Domažlice for cancelled alex RE 25 services, with stops in Cham and Furth im Wald. In addition, an express service will operate without intermediate stops between Schwandorf and Pilsen and between Pilsen and Schwandorf.

oberpfalzbahn RB 27 (Schwandorf – Cham / Furth im Wald – Domažlice)
Replacement bus services will also operate on the Schwandorf–Cham section for cancelled RB 27 services. Weekend services between Furth im Wald and Domažlice will also be operated by bus.

Travel times will be longer than usual due to the replacement bus services. Passengers are advised to use earlier connections where necessary to ensure they can make their onward connections. Please note that the carriage of bicycles on replacement buses is only possible to a limited extent. Priority will always be given to passenger transport.
